John D. Williams, President & CEO
Mr. Williams is a twenty-five-year veteran of the financial services industry. He is one of the original co-founders and serves as Director of Personal, Estate, and Financial Planning for Capital Formation Group, Inc. Mr. Williams holds a Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College, a master’s degree in Theological Studies from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology and a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University. He is a member of the National Association of Charitable Estate Counselors, The Boston Estate Planning Council and The American Society of Financial Service Professionals. 
Michael J. Toomey, Director
Mr. Toomey is a thirty-year veteran of the financial services industry and a co-founder of Capital Formation Group, Inc. He concentrates his planning efforts on clients primarily within the Wall Street community while providing direction and management internally. 
Jefferson E. Hughes, Jr., Director
Mr. Hughes joins us, having retired from a most successful career at Merrill Lynch where he served as a Managing Director. His responsibilities at Merrill Lynch over the years have included various senior management positions in the equity and sales divisions as well as the firm’s international operations. Most recently, Mr. Hughes was Chairman, GMI (Global Markets and Investment Banking Group), of Latin America and Canada. In addition, he was Head of Global Relationship Management dealing with the largest clients of Merrill Lynch across all of the firm’s businesses. 
William M. Doran, Jr., Director
Mr. Doran joins us, having retired from Morgan Stanley after 24 years of service. At Morgan Stanley he was a Managing Director who started and managed a Global Foreign Exchange Proprietary Trading Group. In addition, he was in charge of FX Electronic Trading during the last years of his career at MS. Mr. Doran holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth. 
Marcel Quiroga, Vice President of Wealth Management Relationships
As Vice President of Wealth Management Relationships at Capital Formation Group, Marcel helps people attain financial independence, build their legacies and manage their financial affairs. She focuses on the needs and aspirations of senior executives and entrepreneurs. Working closely with clients, she helps them identify their objectives, and leads the process in the design of their customized financial plans that will help them reach their goals. She ensures that financial independence is at the heart of clients’ plans, and collaborates with the Capital Formation team to use the plans as the starting point for investment management and estate planning. Marcel has more than thirteen years of financial services and wealth management experience.
Prior to joining the Capital Formation Group, Marcel was a Private Wealth Specialist at the Private Banking and Investment Group of Merrill Lynch. Previous to that she was with the Individual Investment Group at Morgan Stanley; FUNDES-Bolivia, a foundation where she worked with banks to provide loans to small and mid-sized companies; Marketing Director for a Bolivian financial fund, Fondo de la Comunidad; and Banco Mercantil, one of the largest banks in South America, where she managed funds for executives of Bolivia’s largest firms.
Marcel graduated with honors from the Universidad Privada Boliviana in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She is fluent in English, as well as Spanish and understands French and Portuguese.
She is a member of the National Corporate Advisory Board of the Women of ALPFA, and Vice President of the Women of ALPFA Boston Chapter. She chairs the Women of the Harvard Club Committee, and sits on the board of directors of the New England Latin American Business Council. Marcel is also a member of Women’s Luncheon Committee for the U.S. Fund of UNICEF. She is on her Parish Council in Marblehead, where she lives.
Cheryl Warren-Powers,
Chief Operations Officer
Cheryl's background in the finance industry brings a distinctive addition to the Capital Formation team. In her experience as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, and Relationship Manager for previous financial firms, she has developed a unique understanding of the markets. Her responsibilities will include the management and execution of all financial and compliance matters for CFG. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Wheaton College, Norton, MA, where she was both a varsity basketball and softball player. She resides in Attleboro, MA with her husband Shawn. 
Jason S. Morad, JD, Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Morad joins Capital Formation Group, Inc. after nine years in the financial industry, including serving the last seven as Portfolio Manager and Manager of Equity Research for Hale and Dorr Capital Management, LLC. He has managed a portion of Capital Formation Group's assets for the last five years. His responsibilities include asset allocation and asset selection for the firm's clientele. Mr. Morad has a Bachelors Degree from Vanderbilt University, a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University, and is a Level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program. Mr. Morad is a Series 65 Registered Investment Advisor. 
James D. Lee, Director of Planning
Mr. Lee has been at the heart of the planning process at Capital Formation Group, Inc. for over ten years. He handles the ‘core’ of our clients’ financial/estate plans in coordination with our outside portfolio managers. In addition to reporting the consolidated financials for our clients, he is involved in the daily execution and administration of complete client services. Mr. Lee is currently a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner designation. 
JOHN W. BRODERICK, Director, Private Client Services
Mr. Broderick has provided comprehensive financial planning solutions to professionals, executives and owners of privately held companies, with an emphasis in the pharmaceutical industry and Wall Street community, for more than eighteen years. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Mr. Broderick holds a BS in marketing from King's College and has earned his financial planning certificate from Fairleigh Dickenson University. He is currently a candidate for the Chartered Financial Consultant through the American College. 
Leslie Martinez, Office Operations & Client Services Coordinator
Ms. Martinez oversees and coordinates CFG's services for our clients. Her strong organizational and communication skills ensure that an array of services are seamlessly delivered. Ms. Martinez is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our business. 
C. Parker Lattin, Research and Planning Officer
Parker is a recent graduate of Western New England College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and economics. Parker has financial services experience from working with the Global Private Client Group at Merrill Lynch. 
Michael Herzig, Investment Advisory Committee member
Mr. Herzig is the General Partner of Gardenia Global Advisors L.P. Mr. Herzig’s investment strategy derives from a twenty-year Wall Street career, comprised of sixteen years in institutional sales and equity product management at Merrill Lynch, and as an original member of Rosehill Capital Management LLC, a long/short strategy operating within the Japanese equity market. The vast majority of Mr. Herzig’s experience has been in challenging market conditions, as a Japan specialist between ‘89 and ‘97, as a London-based Emerging Markets specialist and desk head from ‘97 to ‘00, and as the first Head of Global Sector Sales at ML from ‘00 through ‘04. During Mr. Herzig’s last three years at ML, through ‘06, he served on the Research Recommendations Committee, responsible for monitoring and coaching the equity research team, and produced and moderated the Merrill Lynch Daily Morning Research Call for an audience of approximately 4000 Institutional and Retail representatives.
Mr. Herzig holds a B.A in English from Dartmouth College and earned the CFA designation in 1999. He also serves as Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors of Birch Rock Camp, a non-profit summer camp based in Waterford, Maine. Mr. Herzig, a native resident of New York, is married, with three children. 
Thomas F. Troy, Shareholder
Mr. Troy’s experience lies within the institutional equities business at Merrill Lynch. He was most recently Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Securities and Prime Brokerage Division. He was Head of Equities for the Americas (based in New York) and for Europe, Middle East and Africa (based in London). In both positions he was responsible for all secondary and primary sales, trading and capital markets across all cash and derivative products in the respective regions. He managed all capital commitments, risk management and client relationships. Mr. Troy holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from New York University.
